The newest edition to the “Learn & Master” series, Learn & Master Drums with Dann Sherrill takes you from beginner to advanced, beginning with percussion strategies like playing Bass Drum and Hi-Hat and progressing to more advanced topics like Double Bass Drumming, Playing with Brushes, and Soloing. If you’re looking for a comprehensive lesson package to really teach you how to play, Learn & Master Drums provides the complete picture.

Not only does Learn & Master Drums cover a variety of topics, but the information is presented via a variety of mediums as well. Learn & Master Drums features 13 video lessons, 5 play-along CDs, and a complete lesson book (100_pages) so that no matter how you learn best, you should be able to access the information in Learn & Master Drums. In addition, the Learn & Master Drums website offers online support for all customers, so if you have any questions or problems, you should have help at your fingertips.

Overall, Learn & Master Drums is a hefty investment (normally $249 for the set, although on sale for $149 at time of review), but it is a worthy investment if you’re really interested in learning to play drums. If you’ve ever dreamed of playing rock, blues, jazz, funk, or Latin style drums, Learn & Master Drums with Dann Sherrill can provide you the insight you need to learn to play from scratch or take your drumming to the next level.

Cons	• For someone who is overwhelmed by large quantities of information, Learn & Master Drums might be a bit too in-depth. • Learn & Master Drums is certainly not the most affordable course out there, regularly priced at $249 (although currently “on sale” for $149).
